“This song speaks about that feeling inside you when you’re so happy, you want to shout it out loud. Like you’re flying and don’t ever want to come down. That’s what love looks like to me,” Catalina shares.
📍 Why Cartagena?
The video was shot in Cartagena, Colombia — a conscious and emotional choice. While the team considered Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, it was Cartagena that embodied everything they were looking for: vibrant nature, rich colonial architecture, and a Caribbean soul where dance and emotion are a way of life.

✈️ The Journey & Preparation
The team reached Colombia after a full day of travel via Amsterdam. But even in the air, the creative process continued — styling ideas, moodboarding, visual planning.
Once on the ground, they jumped straight into castings, fittings, location scouting, and official permissions — including visits to local cultural departments for access to historic landmarks.
One of the most magical moments happened in a local café — a spontaneous conversation with strangers turned into a recommendation for Cartagena’s top stylist, who ended up creating all of Catalina’s looks across several shoots. A chance encounter that changed everything.
🎥 On Set
Filming took place across multiple locations — an island, a beach, a fortress, and city streets. Each scene tells part of a greater emotional story.
One day, while heading to the island, the crew had to change plans mid-journey due to a storm. Yet the spontaneous location switch led them to a perfect beach with a breathtaking cityscape view of Cartagena — a happy accident that became cinematic gold.
👗 Styling & Wardrobe
The primary dress for the couple scenes was chosen not just for its look, but for how it felt. After trying on dozens of dresses, one soft, flowing gown stood out intuitively — and turned out to match the mood, lyrics, and visuals perfectly.
A second outfit, intended for the beach, unexpectedly worked just as well in the fortress scenes — with a simple change of swimwear, the same dress told two completely different stories. A magical, minimal transformation.
🎭 Casting & Catalina’s Acting Debut
Several actors were considered for the lead male role, but the final choice was Alex Vasquez — a Colombian model, TikToker, and dancer.
The key was chemistry — not just a look, but the emotional comfort and trust between the leads.
“With Alex, I could truly be myself on camera — sing, hug, connect. It was my first experience acting in a music video, and I absolutely loved it,” Catalina says.
“This role of a woman in love gave me a whole new perspective — it inspired me to go even deeper into emotional storytelling through music and film.”
🎞️ Editing & Visual Direction
This was more than just a music video — it was a short emotional film.
Every shot was handpicked, reviewed across several rounds, and deeply discussed. Catalina was involved in every step, especially color correction — not based on technical presets, but based on memory, feeling, and the inner emotion of the journey in Colombia.
The soft, glowing sky-blue title screen was chosen to reflect the mood of the clip: tender, heartfelt, and soaring.

“We chose a couple shot for the cover — it was symbolic. This whole project is about reminding people of something simple: if you love someone, don’t hide it. Don’t wait. Hug them. Say it. Smile. Sing it if you need to.”
While the video shows a romantic story, its deeper message is universal. It’s about remembering the beauty of expressing love in all forms — for a partner, for a parent, for a friend.
This video isn’t trying to reinvent love.
It’s simply reminding us — that love lives in the small moments we often forget to share.
